SportsMed Canterbury is a multidisciplinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Centre located in central Christchurch. It provides leading edge injury management and rehabilitation services to the active and sporting population of Canterbury. The facility has a specialised rehabilitation gymnasium which is central to the SportsMed rehabilitation model. The physiotherapy practice holds an EPN contract and works with patients undertaking Activity Based Programmes.
We have a full time vacancy for a physiotherapist to work alongside our skilled team of physiotherapists and other health professionals. The position is based in our specialised rehabilitation gym.The successful applicant will work in a stimulating learning environment with some of New Zealand’s leading sports physicians, podiatrists and other allied health professionals. The Merivale Musculoskeletal Clinic has a full-time position available for a friendly, self-motivated, fun loving physiotherapist starting mid August.
We are a small, accredited physiotherapy practice but have allied contracts for the provision of Functional Capacity Evaluations, Worksite Assessments and Activity Based Programmes.
We enjoy a close working relationship with local GPs, share rooms with a large hand therapy practice from which we also receive and refer patients and have an established, friendly, supportive team culture.
A comprehensive in-service education programme is in place both within the clinic and externally combined with a sports medicine clinic. The successful applicant would need to be able to work unsupervised and work between two locations as we have a satellite clinic within the St Albans Medical Centre.
Preference will be given to a therapist with musculoskeletal and manual therapy experience, however physiotherapists new to the private sector will be considered.
